CF Fire Doors carried out a programme of fire door remedial works, new fire door set installations and passive fire protection for Rehabilitation Manufacturing Services (RMS) Limited at their site in Sittingbourne. The works were planned around a live operational facility, keeping disruption to production and staff to a minimum.

Following a survey of the existing fire doors, a schedule of works was agreed covering 26 fire door sets. Doors that could be brought back into compliance were repaired on site - adjusting gaps, replacing intumescent and smoke seals, and renewing hinges, closers and signage - while those beyond economical repair were replaced with new certified fire door sets.

Alongside the door works, the team carried out fire stopping to service penetrations around the door frames and through compartment walls, restoring the separation the building's fire strategy relies on. Every door was labelled and recorded, giving the client a clear reference for future inspections.
